The title says it all - I can't count how many times I've overheard someone (including Tom himself) say at a convention or in an interview that he still isn't dead. I guess this still is true - it looks like Tom Baker has recently launched a new website located at http://www.tom-baker.co.uk/ that coincides with the new audio series that was released earlier this September.
The first of a new series of 5 audio plays done by the BBC starring Tom Baker as the Doctor was released on 03 September 2009. Four more are expected to follow with one more in October, one in November, and the remaining two episodes in early December.
Baker takes up the role for the first time since 1981 when Peter Davison succeeded him. In the new audio plays written by Paul Magrs, the Doctor apparently decides to settle down for a bit after his ordeal in "The Invasion of Time" when he leaves companions Leela and K-9 behind on his home planet of Gallifrey. The Doctor, being at that time companion-less, heads to an old English cottage located in Sussex where his first adventure begins and he becomes reunited with (now retired) UNIT Captain Mike Yates.
